Horror News and Parasyte

Tonight on GeekNights, we talk about two horror(ish) anime that we're watching recently: Horror News and Parasyte -the maxim-! But first, Rym (and Emily) are obsessed with Ikuhara's currently running Yuri Kuma Arashi (Lesbian Bear Storm) (Love Bullet) the Oscars (no surprise) snubbed those Chinese cartoons, and Sex Criminals is getting a TV series.
We're going to be live at PAX East 2015 with What is Losing?
Pandante

Tonight on GeekNights, we review Pandante, which is far more fun than it has any right to be. It distills the interesting/fun parts of Texas Holdem and is an excellent social/starter game. Floosh. Before that, Rym has some praise for Five Nights at Freddy's (it is easily the most stressful game he has ever played), and Smash Brothers is finally coming for the 3DS.
Homesteaders and Tammany Hall

Tonight on GeekNights, we review two board games after some first playthroughs: Homesteaders and Tammany Hall. They're both pretty good. Check out some memories of Doom and the 3DS gets an update that almost no one will care about.
Innovation and Village

Tonight on GeekNights, we review the mediocre Innovation and the basic but well done Village. Skip the former, but use the latter as a nice intermediate board game. In the news, Games for Windows Live dies, and Origin will allow refunds of EA games. Rym also geekbites Fire Emblem: Awakening (it's no Advance Wars). Come see us at PAX Prime, where we'll be presenting Bad Games and gaming at the Pre-PAX Sky High Tabletop Play Benefitting Food Lifeline!
Seasons

Tonight on GeekNights, we review Régis Bonnessée's Seasons. (Spoiler: it has a rondel). It's an OK game, but we find it difficult to recommend to anyone in particular. In other news, the Steam Autumn Sale is in full... steam..., Rym hit up the fancy Fang Gourmet Tea, the Wii-U happened (but we didn't notice), Hotline Miami is good but buggy, Magical Drop V is out (but buggy), and we have an official GeekNights Counter Strike: GO server. We also answer some interesting questions on cheating and "cheapness" from listener Sr.A.
Traders of Genoa

Tonight on GeekNights, we discuss the board game (Traders of) Genoa. Scott still has terrible luck at FTL, while Rym appears to be cheating. Monaco is coming to both the Xbox and the PC (you should buy the latter version), and you should recall that we had Andy Schatz, its creator, on GeekNights long ago! X-Com has answered all of Rym's prayers, but he still won't buy it. The New York Comic Con happened, but had no real gaming content and nothing of note to cover. (Or, possibly, we're just super jaded by a decade of conventions and some years of living in New York). Also, Hearts!
Don't forget Burning Con 2012 and this week's NerdNYC Board Game Night!
Takenoko

Tonight on GeekNights, we review Takenoko. But first, we talk a bit about all the games we've bought (but not played) in the Steam Summer Sale like Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Dragon Age Origins, Fallout 3: New Vegas, Oblivion, and Sim City 4. We also lament how everyone votes for Rym in the "vote who wins" game (and Carcassonne). Also, we'll be at PAX Prime and PAX Dev!
