We begin with Justice League, Action Comics, Animal Man, Batgirl, Batwing, Detective Comics, Green Arrow, Hawk and Dove, Justice League International, Men of War, O.M.A.C., Static Shock, Stormwatch, and Swamp Thing! Some of them are pretty good. Some of them are, well... In the news, the New York Comic Con (and what's left of the vestigal New York Anime Festival is this weekend, and alcohol's effects are possibly largely based on cultural perception.

Rock of Ages

Tonight on GeekNights, we review the surprising and interesting Rock of Ages. In the news, id releases Rage, Xenonauts might be X-Com, and Risk Legacy brings statefulness to boardgames (for good or ill, we cannot yet say).

Tonight on GeekNights, we review the simple, perfect information, complete information two-player boardgame Hive. Natural Selection 2 is still unplayable (but 1 is just fine), Sony goes extra silly with its PSN TOS, and printing weapons is the inevitability we all have always assumed it would be.

Arrietty the Borrower

Tonight on GeekNights, we consider Studio Ghibli's Arrietty the Borrower (????????????). In the news, Redline is now available on Booray with English subtitles in Japan, and Black Dynamite has a cartoon.

Play Dead

Tonight on GeekNights, we talk a bit about Play Dead, which is playing again. We also have some trojan T-shirts and the sad truth behind the London riots.

Taluva and Reef Encounter

Tonight on GeekNights, we review two interesting board games: Taluva and Reef Encounter. Rym is shocked that anyone is surprised by what The Sims Social actually was (crap). Diablo 3 is a clusterfuck of DRM, closedness, and perverse monetization, and Rym has a geekbite for the Android Catan.
