The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides is Scott’s pick for the GeekNights book club. It is perhaps the top mystery/suspense/thriller novel of 2019. Alicia Berenson, a famous painter, shot her husband, a famous fashion photographer, in the face five times. After committing this gruesome act, she never speaks another word. Theo Faber, a criminal psychotherapist, becomes obsessed with this story, takes her on as a patient, and tries to figure out what really happened.
