The Man Who Was Thursday is a classic from 1908, quoted in Deus Ex but otherwise largely unknown to nerds and geeks of a modern era. A lone detective, finding himself a better advocate of anarchy than the anarchists themselves enters a world where it appears that similar detectives with similar skills and motivations are finding themselves in similar situations.
