In the news, Yuu Miyake is performing at MAGFest 2015, we (GeekNights) are performing at PAX South 2015 that same weekend, and the social media "years in review" aren't always the best for people whose years weren't so great.

Tonight on GeekNights, we review the perfectly solid, definitely-worth-seeing Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie. We were able to attend a screening in New York, and it was definitely worth it. We review the movie (no spoilers: don't worry)... but we also review the crowd. They were, shall we say, maximal in many attributes. In the news, the US Copyright Office gives clear direction that it will not register copyright on a picture taken by a monkey, and you shouldn't post photos of your giant pile of cash on social media: someone might murder you for it.

Tonight on GeekNights, Emily replaces Scott to review Mamoru Hosoda's Wolf Children, which we just saw at the International Children's Film Festival. We also are performing FIVE lectures at Anime Boston 2013!

Tonight on GeekNights, low on energy and flush with despair, we review the sixth One Piece movie: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island (ワンピース the movie オマツリ男爵と秘密の島). It's over 90 minutes of... well, pretty-much every other anime movie based on a franchise but unable to affect the canon of said franchise. But, it was directed by Mamoru Hosoda. In the news, the new My Little Pony comic book is outselling Uncanny X-Men. See you at Burning Con this weekend!

Tonight on GeekNights, by Scott's request, we hit up some Sailor Moon with the Sailor Moon SuperS Movie: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Super S: The 9 Sailor Soldiers Unite! Miracle of the Black Dream Hole (????????????SuperS ??????????????????????????! But first, Master Keaton returns, along with Arakawa Under the Bridge and Bastard, and Japan's culture around piracy is stridently different from US attitudes.

Tonight on GeekNights, we review the manga Drops of God, now in print in English from Vertical. We then briefly review Welcome to the Space Show and Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below (two anime movies definitely worth watching). But before that, we GeekBite the underrated Wolverine and the X-Men and we discuss the devastating news that Satoshi Kon's last (unfinished) work - The Dream Machine - has ceased production.
