[05:47:35] <Bronz|work> Good morning.
[08:33:00] <Apsup> Morning.
[08:33:18] <Apsup> My PC seems to have trouble sleeping these days.
[08:36:24] <Bronz|work> Mine seems to wake up randomly
[08:37:21] <Apsup> I think mine does updates and automatic virus scan around 3 am and that's fine, but now it fails to fall back asleep after that.
[08:38:09] <Apsup> Pretty sure I've had this issue before, and it has managed to fix itself.
[08:41:20] <Bronz|work> Hopefully it will do that again this time.
[08:41:39] <Bronz|work> Man, Windows PCs are such a black box.
[08:41:48] <Bronz|work> Who knows what goes in it, and how to make it do what you want.
[08:54:45] <Apsup> I felt that something was off this morning. Just realized, I didn't make coffee.
[08:55:07] <Apsup> Weekend at home and I forget all my daily routines.
[09:02:32] <Bronz|work> I guess you need a maid to make you coffee
[09:38:23] <Bronz|work> Stupid password requirements make me change my password regularly
[09:38:50] <Bronz|work> Every time I do, for the next 3 days whenever I lock and unlock my computer, I have a few seconds of terror as I go "Oh no I forgot my password" before I remember it again.
[10:10:08] <Apsup> Isn't it common knowledge these days that regular password changes just lead to more problems and don't fix the bigger issue of bad passwords.
[10:10:28] <Bronz|work> Tell that to any large corporation
[10:10:40] <Apsup> I forget all my passwords all the time anyways, so having to change one regularly would kill me.
[10:10:57] <Apsup> On something where I can't just use some kind of recovery system.
[10:11:13] <Bronz|work> The changing of the passwords has forced me to write them all down, and not everyone uses a passwordmanager like me.
[10:11:45] <Bronz|work> The idea is that if you force change the password, then if it leaks out, you're only vunerable for 30 or 90 days or whatever your password timeout is.
[10:13:25] <Apsup> If important password leaks out, then the 30 to 90 days is way too long time for a fix that comes too late.
[10:14:21] <Bronz|work> Yeah, I agree.

[11:31:43] <Bronz|work> Oh hi Aria!
[11:31:47] <Aria> Morning
[11:31:55] <Bronz|work> I am eating a pizza right now.
[11:32:00] <Aria> Lucky you
[11:32:04] <Aria> I would like some pizza
[11:32:05] <Bronz|work> It's pretty good.
[11:32:15] <Bronz|work> You're stuck with porridge
[11:32:29] <Aria> We have porridge?
[11:32:41] <Bronz|work> Yup, check where we keep the baked beans.
[11:32:44] <Bronz|work> Should be a bag of oats.
[11:32:54] <Bronz|work> You can make porridge with milk and/or water.
[11:33:03] <Aria> So.. we don't have porridge then?
[11:33:15] <Aria> Why would I be stuck with porridge? Do we not have stuff to make anything else?
[11:51:13] <Bronz|work> I don't think we have much else
[11:51:34] <Bronz|work> And we don't have ready-made porridge, but if you can heat water in a pan, you can make porridge
