[09:32:18] <Bronz|work> Hi Aria.
[09:34:56] <Aria> Hi!
[09:36:12] <Bronz|work> How goes?
[09:36:44] <Aria> Making breakfast
[09:36:51] <Aria> YouTube is playing
[09:37:01] <Aria> And audio is weird
[09:37:24] <Aria> The error message in youtube says "If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device."
[09:37:29] <Aria> As opposed to yknow, refresh the page
[09:38:27] <Aria> Ok is fixed now
[09:38:30] <Aria> Dunno whats up with that
[09:38:33] <Bronz|work> Weird.
[09:38:57] <Aria> I fixed it by changing default audio device back and forth from the soundcard
[09:56:45] -!- Bronz|work has quit [Quit: Lost terminal]
[09:58:13] <Aria> Oh no
[10:11:40] -!- Bronz|work [Bronz|work!walter@hide-86BF8692.emea.ibm.com] has joined #geeknights
[10:11:45] <Bronz|work> Hello again
[10:11:48] <Aria> Welcome back
[10:11:53] <Bronz|work> I had to reboot for a kernel update, but I should be safe now.
[10:12:13] <Bronz|work> Also, Therese won a bunch of candy for winning best costume, and I'm sitting next to her so...
[10:12:14] <Aria> Did you get any new features_
[10:12:28] <Aria> What was her costume?
[10:12:38] <Bronz|work> Queen of hearts from Alice in wonderland
[10:12:41] <Bronz|work> It was pretty good.
[10:12:49] <Aria> Alright
[10:13:38] <Bronz|work> It's very dangerous though, haivng this much candy right on my desk...
[10:13:55] <Aria> Aha. There might be knifes
[10:14:19] <Bronz|work> I meant more like "I'll eat myself to death! D-
[10:14:27] <Aria> Yes also that
[11:02:35] -!- Apsup has quit [Ping timeout: 180 seconds]
[11:25:29] <Bronz|work> Hey Aria, are you downloading the Addams family?
[11:25:39] <Aria> No do you want me to?
[11:26:04] <Bronz|work> Well, they seemed like pretty alright movies, and we never did finish that youtube, so...
[11:30:26] <Aria> Ok I have it now
[11:33:42] <Bronz|work> How many Ps?
[11:33:59] <Aria> Bluray
[11:38:07] <Bronz|work> That should be enough Ps
[12:05:37] <Aria> So that guy from yesterday
[12:06:27] <Aria> He says when he worked on Call of Duty, they never tried to make the games military inspired. It shouldn't remind you of being in the military. It should remind you of scenes from Holywood movies with soldiers
[12:06:54] <Aria> And they on purpose try to do tacticool stuff
[12:06:56] <Bronz|work> I mean, that's fair.
[12:07:06] <Bronz|work> You don't really take orders or anything...
[12:10:28] <Aria> He also says Witcher 3 is popular because it's mature
[12:11:14] <Aria> Witcher 2 tried to be M for mature type mature, and it didn't get them any sales, but Witcher 3 is a honest attempt at making a fantasy story for adults, and it resonated with player and thus Witcher 3 sold more
[12:11:34] <Aria> Ignoring that Witcher 2 has like 16 tiny areas and Witcher 3 is a massive AAA quality open world game
[12:12:09] <Bronz|work> Yeah, I think the witcher 3 sold so well because it's imperssive as fuck.
[12:12:45] <Aria> But his argument was that Witcher 2's gimmick was that it was edgy, and it wasn't interesting. Witcher 3's gimmick is that it's well made
[12:14:34] <Bronz|work> I mean, it's not like the Witcher 2 did poorly...
[12:14:58] <Aria> I think Witcher 2 probably did better compared to the budget
[12:19:29] <Aria> Alright, so this thing he said is pretty interesting.
[12:20:23] <Aria> Take any concept art from your thing and pretend its a concept art for a product that came out in the last 5 years
[12:20:58] <Aria> If you can't think of at least 3 products where your concept art would fit in, it's too bizzare to be marketable
[12:55:25] <Bronz|work> Huh...
[13:05:09] <Bronz|work> I forgot my cleaning cloth for the glasses again.
[14:09:58] -!- Apsup [Apsup!Apsup@hide-C3A41BC5.kortex.jyu.fi] has joined #geeknights
[14:11:37] <Bronz|work> Hi Apsup!
[14:11:56] <Apsup> Hii
[14:18:03] <Bronz|work> Glad that you're here!
[14:27:40] <Apsup> I should log out now, for comedy, but I think I'm little late for optimal timing.
[14:27:51] <Apsup> Should have seen that instantly and then logged off.
[14:28:34] <Apsup> So I guess I just have to be glad to be here.
[14:32:16] <Bronz|work> Why would you want to disapoint me, Apsup?
[14:32:19] <Bronz|work> That so mean!
[14:32:41] <Bronz|work> So, I work at a helpdesk, right?
[14:32:51] <Bronz|work> Our email address hasn't worked since Monday.
[14:33:03] <Apsup> That's not very helpful
[14:33:17] <Bronz|work> It's pretty dumb.
[16:34:03] -!- Apsup has quit [Ping timeout: 181 seconds]
[19:19:00] -!- Apsup [Apsup!Apsup@hide-C3A41BC5.kortex.jyu.fi] has joined #geeknights
[19:22:56] <Aria> Hey Apsup
[19:23:02] <Apsup> Hii
[19:23:29] <Aria> Are there any games in Renaissance oil painting style graphics
[19:23:30] <Aria> ?
[19:23:50] <Aria> With the super soft lights and overexposed skin
[19:23:53] <Apsup> Maybe? Dunno? Probably not many?
[19:24:16] <Aria> I wanna make one, but I want to see what other people are achiving first
[19:24:32] <Aria> And also how
[19:24:55] <Apsup> I think the how is the hard question
[19:26:07] <Aria> I think it's just a case of having very soft light and having backgrounds be low contrast compared to the foreground
[19:26:19] <Aria> Also heavy AO
[19:31:13] <Apsup> That made me go look what's up with Anarchy Online. Still up. New engine in open beta. I think they have been working on that for like +5 years.
[19:32:22] <Aria> This is not renaissance at all!
[19:32:26] <Aria> Also what is this?
[19:32:46] <Apsup> Old mmorpg that I used to play. Also it was because you said AO.
[19:35:37] <Aria> So being free on PS+ seems to net you somewhere around 3-700K
[19:35:40] <Aria> Which is not a ton
[19:38:03] <Apsup> no it's not.
[19:38:42] <Apsup> But as Sony offers multiple games every month, I would assume that they can't promise anything too significant.
[19:39:01] <Apsup> And most of the game are older that might not have any bigger exceptions for a month anyways.
[19:39:54] <Aria> That's for PS+ launch
[19:40:13] <Aria> They pay less if your game is already out
[19:40:29] <Apsup> Who launches a game in PS+?
[19:41:23] <Aria> Indies
[19:41:37] <Aria> Rocket League
[19:42:01] <Apsup> Well, for Rocket League I assume that the publishity helped them a lot in long run.
[19:42:08] <Aria> For sure
[19:54:40] <Apsup> ...I went to kitchen to see if oven has pre-heated. I hadn't even turned it on.
[19:56:29] <Aria> I recognize that scenario
