[12:37:33] <Aria> So Oblivion apperantly got in trouble with the ESRB. They rated the game based on what Zenimax said was in it. Nude mods came out and parents complained. ESRB double checked the game to get people to stop complaining, and realized that it has murder in it and was very cross with Zenimax

[12:48:34] <Aria> Also PEGI says that Mafia 3 does not feature discrimination significant enough to factor into the age rating

[13:02:22] <Aria> If the main goal of the game is violence, it'll be refused a rating
[13:02:51] <Aria> And if the game's narrative promotes vigilante justice, it'll be refused a rating
[13:02:57] <Aria> And can't be sold in stores
[13:03:04] <Apsup> Wouldn't that in theory mean that some old arcade games would not get rating?

[13:59:23] <Aria> Its about two Tekken characters who are chilling on a giant statue, and then decide they need to fight. They fight a bit, and it cuts to the base of the statue, and the towns folk are like "Oh those two are at it again"

[14:05:26] <Aria> Also if you are in the USA, and send Sony your receipt for your fat PS3, and also have some sort of proof that you at some point had Linux on that PS3, they will send you 55 USD as an apology for deleting your Linux and not letting you reinstall that Linux

[14:11:38] <Aria> "So yeah, we are using Unity, but we had to manually make a lot of the collisions and animations and everything"
[14:12:06] <Aria> Interviewer responded with "That's impressive". How else did you expect to make your video game?!

[14:24:15] <Aria> The trailer for Summer Lesson English is the Japanese trailer with like fansubs on top of all the Japanese text

[22:31:26] <Aria> I did some math and figured out how much dialog I need for inter party interactions, which is the main feature
[22:31:34] <Aria> Or the main fun part
[22:31:56] <Aria> Now I need to figure out how much content I need between each instance of interacting with your party
[22:38:18] <Apsup> Are you sure you are approaching the whole thing in right direction?
[22:39:09] <Aria> I want to write out all my features, so I can see how much code I need, and all my cutscenes, so I know how much writing and pictures I need
[22:39:11] <Apsup> All I know is that planning is hard and I feel like that's one of the main difficulties of video game kickstarters.
[22:39:32] <Apsup> Because it's hard to actually know how much work a game actually is.
[22:39:41] <Aria> I mean, I'm not doing a kickstarter =P I'm just writing it for myself to know if I should dedicate time to this
[22:39:51] <Aria> I've only had this idea for two/three days now
[22:39:52] <Apsup> Sure, but I meant that as example.
[22:40:10] <Apsup> Even people who do stuff with big money and people with experience can struggle with that.
[22:40:19] <Apsup> You just gotta do and learn.
[22:40:20] <Aria> Sure, I'll do *10 at the end
[22:40:33] <Apsup> Then trash the whole thing 60% in and start from beginning.
